IT Support Specialist – Medical Technology/ Hospital IT

Our client is specifically looking for candidates that have a strong understanding of networking, connectivity and Cisco experience required, preferably a CCNE or CCNA with ASA & NAT experience. In addition the ideal candidate should have project management, customer service and strong communications skills. A working knowledge of hospital IT systems and HL 7 is definitely a plus but not required.
Responsibilities:
This person will have primary responsibility for planning, deployment, implementation and support for our client’s server products. They are going to interface with a lot of different people both internally and externally from hospital IT departments to internal technical product managers, technical support engineers, project management, IT and senior management.
Successful candidates will work with customers IT department to really understand
how their hospital network functions and is laid out, as well as the addressing of that network. You will then ensure compatibility with the net scheme, typically using a Cisco ASA and Network Address Translation (NAT).
Since this is a newly created position to house these responsibilities under one umbrella, there will be tremendous opportunity for candidates to define how this position evolves based upon ones vision and skill sets.
Overall, the project management piece is just about 55% of the job and the other 45% will be more hands on technical work or phone work to support hands-on technical.
Requirements:
- Must have strong networking and Cisco experience.
- CCNE or CCNA with ASA strongly preferred.
- Network Address Translation (NAT) strongly preferred.
- Project management, customer service and strong communications skills.
- Working knowledge of hospital IT systems and HL 7 is definitely a plus.
- Willing to travel up to 20%.
